Transform any photograph into professional halftone separations with pixel-level accuracy and export print-ready films straight from your iPhone.
Download OzelanAll creative tools and export features are included in the base Ozelan application. Codes represent workflow starting points for different use cases. Results depend on your source images and selected ink combinations.
Not a filter. Ozelan runs a true halftone screening engine with Murray-Davies dot gain calculations and Neugebauer equations for accurate ink prediction.
Convert any photograph into screen-printable inks. Choose your colors, adjust coverage maps, and watch real-time rosette formation as screens interact.
Rotate halftone screens with haptic feedback while Ozelan tracks moire patterns. Auto-spacing spreads screens 30 degrees apart for textbook rosettes.
Tap to add control points on the tone curve. Drag off the edge to delete. Preview how your adjustments affect printed ink density in real time.
Round dots that become round holes. Elliptical for directionality. Square for solid fills. Line for texture. Wave for experimental patterns. All with frequency control.
Send finished posters to Photos or export individual separations as high-resolution films ready for exposure units in professional print shops.
Ozelan converts your photographs into authentic screen-print separations by running a procedural halftone screening engine at the pixel level. When you load an image, the app analyzes tonal values and splits them across one to four spot inks you select from the palette.
Each ink gets its own halftone screen with adjustable frequency measured in lines per inch, angle control with live haptic feedback, and your choice of five spot functions. As you rotate the angle dial, Ozelan monitors rosette formation and highlights moire patterns where screens interfere. The auto-spacing tool distributes angles 30 degrees apart for classic four-color work.
The tone curve editor lets you reshape how ink coverage responds to photograph brightness. Tap the curve to add control points, drag them to adjust shadow lifting or punch, and watch a live gradient preview show exactly how printed ink will behave. Ozelan applies Murray-Davies dot gain modeling so the preview matches real-world press behavior.
Ozelan applies the same halftone mathematics used in professional RIP software but packages it in an iPhone interface optimized for photographers and designers. The separation films you export are genuine print-ready files suitable for exposure units in commercial screen-print shops. Version 1.2 introduces enhanced moire detection and expanded preset library based on feedback from working print studios.
